MEET THE SPEAKERS
SARAH O’CONNELL
Sarah specialises in biomechanics and orthotic therapy with a particular interest in sports injury rehabilitation through her MSc in Sports and Exercise Medicine. Her patient‘s include elite professional sportsmen and women. Sarah regularly delivers educational content at universities across the UK and Ireland and creates Firefly’s orthotic prescription educational content, she believes this topic is often unnecessarily over-complicated.
PETER McLERNON
Peter graduated from The University of Ulster and has gained a wealth of experience working in Australia, England and Ireland within both the public and private health sectors. Peter has developed a passion for Musculoskeletal Podiatry with a focus on sports injuries and rehabilitation.
EIMEAR KENNY
Eimear has worked in the podiatry profession since 2013. In this time she has been a clinic manager and a technical support officer for Firefly‘s lab division. Today she leads Firefly’s UK customer support office, working closely with podiatrists to help them achieve better patient outcomes.

13.30 – 15.00 Prescription Writing
- Break down the prescription form, what are you trying to achieve? Casting with 3D scanning technology
15.00 – 16.00 Case Studies
- Firefly case studies, facilitate discussion with attendees
CPD ACCREDITED
The workshop is fully CPD accredited by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. Attendees earn 6 CPD points.
SMALL CLASS SIZE
To ensure you get the most from the workshop and to maximise your time, places on the workshop will be limited and allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. The workshop is highly practical with lots of hands-on learning so small class sizes are required.
