DEEP HEEL CUP

LOCATION / CHARACTERISTICS

• Heel cup depth greater than lab standard for desired device: (range from 14 mm-32 mm).
• Device altered to deepen and subsequently widen area of heel cup

Note: a deeper heel cup will widen entire device slightly

INDICATIONS

• Addition of skive to a device
• Optimization of rear foot control

CONTRAINDICATIONS

• Dress orthoses – deeper heel cup may cause footwear fitting problems due to added depth/width of device
