Firefly Orthoses Continue to Operate Full Service

In lieu of the announcement by the Irish government that more stringent level 5 COVID-19 restrictions will be implemented across the country until the end of January, we wish to let you know that Firefly Orthoses will continue to operate as normal.

Firefly Orthoses is fulfilling an essential service and as such our Technical and Customer support teams are available between the hours of 8.00am and 2.30pm by phone, Monday to Friday. We endeavour to respond to queries via email with 48 hours.

We are in regular contact with our international suppliers to monitor how the global crisis may impact their ability to supply to us. At the time of writing, we are assured our supply chains will not be hampered.

However, we have observed since the COVID-19 pandemic began, logistics and courier services have experienced delays in delivering goods. Please bear this in mind when scheduling patients’ fitting appointments. If you require devices to be fitted on a specific date, please state this in your order and our customer support team will advise.

Firefly Lab to Re-Open June 2nd

Firefly Orthoses will reopen on Tuesday, June 2nd. With the UK and Irish Governments easing COVID–19 restrictions, Firefly will resume the processing of orders on this date.

On June 2nd, all Firefly departments including lab technicians, customer service, and finance will be operational and available to assist you as necessary. Initially, our lab technicians and technical support departments will function with a reduced but complete team, as we adhere to new health and safety procedures. As demand increases, we will re-introduce members of the team in a manner that ensures the health and safety of all team members.

Before our closure at the end of March, a number of orders were mid-production and were not completed or dispatched. If you have orders that were stopped mid-production, please let us know when you plan to re-open your clinic by emailing [email protected], we can then make arrangements for these orders to be completed and dispatched.

Customers with new or subsequent pair orders ready to submit to Firefly for production can do so now but these orders will not enter our production process until June 2nd. Our customer support team will advise when these orders will be shipped to you.

Please note: to avoid “return to sender” courier fees, we will only dispatch orders for clinics that have confirmed they are open and ready to receive shipments.

We are excited to reopen and return to doing what we do best, providing you with industry-leading custom made foot orthoses. Although the new vista and challenges presented by this global pandemic will affect how we all live and do business, we at Firefly are looking forward to continuing to work closely with you as you serve your community in these difficult times.
